Born raised Cumberland's north end - Kevin attended St Patricks-Columbia Street-Braddock Jr. High and Bishop Walsh, earning a degree in Forestry from Allegany College in 1981.
He spent 24 years working as a Forest and Park Ranger at Point Lookout and Smallwood State Parks, and and 6 years as a Natural Resources Police Officer.
During that time, he also fought wild fires in 7 western states, and enjoyed teaching civil war history, and outdoor education.
His professional career was spent mostly in southern Maryland's Calvert, St Mary’s, and Charles Counties. Later, after spending a few years in Southern California, he moved back home to Cumberland, Maryland where he enjoys living in the beautiful Allegany Mountains and sharing his knowledge of the outdoors whenever possible.
