What is Oxidative Stress?
Oxidative stress is an imbalance between the production of free radicals (reactive oxygen species) and the body's ability to neutralize them with antioxidants. This imbalance can lead to cell and tissue damage, potentially contributing to various diseases.

Free Radicals:
These are unstable molecules that can damage cells and tissues by stealing electrons from other molecules.

Antioxidants:
These molecules help neutralize free radicals, preventing them from causing harm.

Imbalance:
When free radicals overwhelm the body's antioxidant defenses, oxidative stress occurs.

Consequences:
Oxidative stress can contribute to aging and various diseases, including cancer, Alzheimer's, and heart disease.

Causes:
Oxidative stress can be triggered by factors like pollution, smoking, poor diet, and certain medical conditions. And Aging as cells become less efficient.

Prevention:
A healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet rich in antioxidants, regular exercise, and avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can help reduce oxidative stress.

What is Oxidative Damage?
Oxidative damage refers to cellular damage caused by unstable molecules called free radicals or reactive oxygen species (ROS). These molecules, due to their instability, steal electrons from other molecules, leading to damage of proteins, lipids, and DNA within cells. This damage can disrupt normal cellular functions and contribute to aging and various diseases.
